Green Country Eco-Expo in Tulsa

The Earth Friendly Network, LLC in collaboration with Wild Oats
Natural Market, The M.E.T., Sustainable Tulsa, The Tulsa Parks
Department, and other environmentally friendly organizations will host
The First Annual Green Country Eco-Expo at Woodward Park. The
Eco-Expo is a public service event intended to showcase products,
services and educational approaches to earth friendly practices and
healthy living that are available to Tulsa area residents. The event
will be held on September 10th under the canopy of trees at historic
Woodward Park and will feature live music, food, and fun for families,
and individuals of all ages.

Lisa Tewis, Mother of two and owner of Hip Slings for Hip Mamas, says
she is excited that an event like this is finally being held in Tulsa.
Event coordinators say that they expect over 100 exhibitors who will
be both interesting and informative. Jane Talkington Director of Homes
for Life, Inc. will showcase their new Habitat for Humanity green
community of green homes in Stillwater Oklahoma. Live music will be
performed by a local drum circle, jazz band, and Native American
musicians. Food will be provided by Wild Oats, along with plenty of
tasty samples form local food producers. Carie Cave, president of The
Earth Friendly Network. LLC, says they hope to re-define the term
"Green Country" by encouraging "greener" ways of life in Oklahoma.
Their goal is to have Tulsa listed on The Green Guide's : America's
Top 10 Green Cities for 2006.

Why we're bringing the Eco-Expo to Tulsa:

The Earth Friendly Network LLC is launching Tulsa's First Annual Green
Country Eco-Expo to celebrate the increasingly high demand for
environmentally conscious sustainable healthy options in the Tulsa
area. Finding the necessary resources for local organic foods,
alternative health care practitioners, sustainable building supplies,
etc are not always as easy as driving to the local Super Center. By
bringing the providers of these products and services to one place and
informing the public of the impact that their choice make on our city
and planet, we are helping to improve the lives of Tulsans in many ways.
