Poverty is forum topic 12-1-05
An Oklahoma City church will host a forum this month to discuss poverty
and look for solutions.
"Poverty: Whose Fault Is It? What Do We Do Now?" begins at 6 p.m. Dec.
11 in the sanctuary at First Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Northwest
Highway.
Guest speakers include the Rev. Dale Tremper of Urban Skyline Ministry;
Rodney Bivens, director of the Regional Food Bank; and Howard Hendrick,
director of the state Department of Human Services.
First Church of the Nazarene holds issues forums monthly or
semi-monthly, organizer Lance A. Schmitz said. The January forum will be
on racial reconciliation.

Sustainable OKC:
The Oklahoma Sustainability Network views sustainability as being
comprised of the three E's: economy, ecology, and equity. Poverty the
topic of this forum, is central to equity and social justice in
Oklahoma.
