There is an Oklahoma company that manufactures recycled roofing materials. It is called Eco - shake, and is made by Re-new wood, Inc. 104 N.W. 8th, P.O. Box 1093, Wagoner, OK. 74467 Ph:1.800.420.7576 Fx:1.918.485.1097

The Eco-shake is an innovative roofing material comprised from 100% recycled materials. The eco-shake shingle is made to resemble and replace traditional wood shake shingles. The eco shake product comes with a 50 year warranty, a Class"A" fire rating, a Class"IV" impact resistance rating, and has successfully passed wind tests of 110 mph. The UV inhibitors, fire retardants and colorants are all solid throughout the product, and therefore, cannot wear off, chip away, or wash off. The maintenance-free eco-shake shingle is an excellent roofing product for all climates, and works well in both residential and commercial applications. Subject: [Okc] "green" roofing

Is anyone aware of an Oklahoma City area roofing company/contractor that is offers any "green" alternative approaches to re-roofing of residential homes-- use of environmentally-friendly or recycled materials, attention to home energy savings, etc? I have a wood-shingle roof that will need replacing in the near future and am interested in possible alternatives to traditional re-roofing. I'd appreciate any references.
