"Building a Great City: Now's a Good Time" - Presentation by Hans Butzer

Wednesday, April 26, 7:00 p.m.  Join Sustainable OKC at Oklahoma City
University's Watson Lounge for a presentation by local architect Hans
Butzer on the historical factors that have influenced Oklahoma City's
growth.  The presentation will examine the financial, environmental, and
social costs of growth and look at solutions to create a more
attractive, lively, and livable community.

Hans Butzer is Principal of Design of TAP/Butzer Studio (
www.taparchitecture.com <http://www.taparchitecture.com/> ), an Oklahoma
City-based architecture, interior design and planning firm. Under his
direction, TAP/Butzer Studio focuses on promoting sustainable,
community-oriented projects of various scales. He is well known as the
co-designer of the internationally-acclaimed Oklahoma City National
Memorial. Butzer is also Assistant Professor of Architecture and Urban
Design at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where his teaching and
research focus on sustainability as an extension of ethics, efficiency,
community and design.
