Sustainable Solutions: Hot and Cold Composting

Saturday, July 15

 

This Saturday, the Midwest City Library and Sustainable OKC present Hot
and Cold Composting, a free workshop at the MWC Library.  This is the
second workshop in the Sustainable Solutions series of a year of
sustainability education.  John Wear, master composter and vermiculture
expert, will be leading the workshop.  

 

WHO:  The workshop is free and open to the public

WHAT:  Composting and vermiculture

WHEN:  Saturday, July 15, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

WHERE:  Midwest City Library (8143 E Reno Ave)

WHY:  To learn about composting as a tool for improving soil and
reducing waste

The next event in this series will be a workshop on home weatherization.
This workshop will provide participants information and insight on
cost-effective strategies for weatherizing buildings during hot summer
months.

     Saturday, August 19, 2006, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

    Midwest City Library

 

Future workshops will include consumption, buying local, home
weatherization on a budget, and garbage/recycling.  All workshops will
