Hello,
I recently came across a company on the net called CitizenRe. It is a solar
power company that offers a solar system on a rental agreement. A person
pays a $500 deposit on a 1, 5, or 25-year rental agreement and then pays the
current utility rate for the solar electricity generated. For example, if
OG&E is your electric utility and their rate is 8 cents per kW/h, you would
pay that for the solar electricity generated for the length of your
contract. As utility rates increase, you would start saving money on
electricity. Aside from the potential savings, you would be cutting down
your contribution to global warming.
I was wondering if there is anyone that knows about this type of thing out
there and if so, could you give me your thoughts?
The website is: http://renu.citizenre.com/index.php
Thanks,
Ben Davis
