We'll continue working on the following projects:

 

.         An online local food guild for central Oklahoma which includes a
local food guide.

.         A food security assessment report for the central Oklahoma area.

 

The mission of the SEA Food Security Group believes is to imagine, support,
build, and promote sustainable food systems for the central Oklahoma
community by facilitating grassroots action through awareness and
networking. Our work includes:

 

.          Analyzing the food systems in central Oklahoma area in terms of
opportunity, vulnerability, risk and food security 

.          Decreasing our vulnerability to volatility in energy price,
supply and demand, specifically in this instance as those issues relate to
our food systems

.          Exploring means of ensuring the people of Oklahoma have access to
sufficient healthy food 

.          Developing action steps, implement solutions, and network among
all groups and organizations working with or within our food systems 

.          Be advocates for change as needed
