Subject: [OSN Announce] jay y. -- Sust. Coord. UCO
Today I resigned my position of Sustainability Coordinator at the University
of Central Oklahoma. It is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make,
but felt that it was in the best interest of the university that I do so.
My teaching, finishing masters degree, running a growing architectural
practice and enjoying my family took time away from this fine institution.
So, the main reason I am contacting you is to see if you know of someone
that will be interested in the job once it is announced on UCO's website. I
cannot say enough good things about UCO and really wish I could stay there.
But they have a lot of new 'green' projects and they deserve someone that
can devote more time. It is such a great place to work and they have
already done so much with regards to sustainability. This position, create
over a year ago, was the first of its kind in the state and with the
addition of similar recent positions in Edmond and OKC, it shows just how
forward-thinking UCO was.
Everyone there was a joy to work with -- from the top leadership to every
administrative assistant. Very leadership oriented!
For more information on their work have the interested party go to:
ucosustainability.com. I will be there until Sept. 24th, so they can also
email me at jyowell3 at uco.edu with any questions. Have them keep an eye out
on UCOs main site: www.uco.edu. I know the right person is out there.
Thanks,
Jay Yowell, AIA, LEED AP
