OUr Earth members have headed up the National Teach-In with multiple events
to engage students, staff, and faculty in events that are driven towards
real solutions today.
Norman, OK-- February 3 to March 5, 2009, The University of Oklahoma will
join hundreds of institutions from across the country for the National
Teach-In to show the President and Congress that people are ready to pass a
bold climate and energy policy that prioritizes renewable energy, green job
creation, and an aggressive cap on carbon emissions. This event is meant to
open a dialuge and ask questions concerning our current path of policy.
Students, staff, and faculty will learn about their options and what they
can do locally to find real solutions today.
The OU National Teach-In kicks off on Tuesday, February 3 with a talk on
wind energy in the heart of the nation by Professor of Geography Scott
Greene and Oklahoma Department of Commerce fellow Kylah McNabb. Below is a
list of events happening at the University of Oklahoma from Tuesday,
February 3 to Thursday, February 5.
