Subject: ACOG Notice: Important CC grant information
Importance: High
Attention Central Oklahoma Clean Cities Stakeholders:
. The Clean Cities FY09 Grant Opportunity DE-PS26-09NT10236-00
previously ending 2/27/09 has been extended. The new application due date
for this funding is March 31, 2009. All information concerning this funding
and the application process remains located on the Grants.Gov website.
You can access the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) via Grants.Gov (
<http://www.grants.gov/applicants/find_grant_opportunities.jsp>
http://www.grants.gov/applicants/find_grant_opportunities.jsp), and
searching by the following Funding Opportunity Numbers:
a. DE-PS26-09NT01236-01 (Infrastructure)
b. DE-PS26-09NT01236-02 (Incremental Cost of Vehicles)
c. DE-PS26-09NT01236-03 (Education & Outreach Workshops)
. In addition to extending the FY09 Clean Cities grant due date, DOE
announced a separate "Notice of Intent to Modify Funding Opportunity
Announcement DE-PS26-09NT10236-00". Although this notice of intent is
currently merely a 'heads-up', the modification will expand the grant
opportunity to incorporate the requirements of the "Alternative Fueled
Vehicle Pilot Grant Program", as authorized by section 721 of the Energy
Policy Act of 2005. Follow this link and click on 02/11/2009 to access:
http://e-center2.doe.gov/doebiz.nsf/Special+Notices?OpenView. We anticipate
this may provide additional funding for the currently open grant categories
and may possibly include additional categories, as well. I am attaching a
copy of the Pilot Grant Program as outlined in section 721 of EPAct 2005 for
you.
. IMPORTANT: While you are working on your current Clean Cities
Petroleum Reduction Technology grant applications, I would strongly
encourage you to think about how you might be able to expand those projects
or apply for additional projects and have budgets, cost estimates, etc. for
expanded or additional project(s) at the ready. I think the turn-around time
will be short by the time we get final guidance on the modification, so time
is of the essence. I will keep you updated as soon as the U.S. Dept. of
Energy sends us further information.
