This is a workshop related to green job development, workforce development, energy efficiency, conservation and sustainability. Learn about opportunities through RFPs, renewable energy projects, and how it all relates to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. 

There will be panelists from national and state energy offices discussing what green should mean to Oklahoma communities and why it is important. 

Discover: What is a green job? What opportunities will be created for green industries? How will the Recovery and Reinvestment Act be a catalyst for enhancing green industries and jobs? Where are the green jobs in Oklahoma? What are the skills necessary to support green industries and green jobs? What type of training is available? How to connect to training opportunities? How to coordinate efforts to support green industries? 

Who should attend: Workforce Investment Board Staff, Key One-Stop Staff, Service Providers, Workforce Solutions Staff Team, Education Providers, Community Action Agencies.
