[OKC] Live Earth event in OKC

Call for Organizations, Leaders and Educators in all areas of
sustainability

 

Today, I met with a group of folks who are organizing a Live Earth event
for Oklahoma City. Some of you might remember back in 7.7.07 a concert
event called Live Earth which focused on the topic a Climate in Crisis.
Since then Live Earth has become an annual event and each year has a
different environmental issue as its central theme. Cities around the
world put on a one day event to engage communities in environmental
issues through education, events, media and live experiences. The 2010
event will be on April 18th. 

 

The group working on organizing the OKC Live Earth wants to make sure it
is engaging with those people, leaders, organizations and educators that
are the driving force behind some of these issues locally. I would never
consider myself an expert to list all the good folks doing great things
in Oklahoma City and around this state but with my work in tourism I
offered to help point them in the right direction. 

 

So my call is to please email me your lists of organizations, people,
companies and leaders that you see around doing and producing good stuff
that more people should know about (it might be you, don't be modest).
