[OKC] Volunteers needed for Biodynamic Gardening Workshop

Sustainable OKC/Transition TownOKC, Sierra Club, DEQ and Urban Harvest are
sponsoring a Biodynamic Growing Event to be held at the Regional Food Bank
on Saturday October 24, 2009. 

 

Event organizers need volunteers for set-up & greeting participants, the
registration & dinner ticket table, book sales tables, display tables,
catered dinner set-up and clean-up. The event is from 1 p.m. til 9 p.m. If
you can assist for any or all of the workshop and event please call Sue Tarr
at 478-2480 by October 14th.

Biodynamic Farming is about creating natural and harmonious ways to interact
with our environment and grow healthy living food. Please feel free to share

Event: October 24, 2009 Workshop: Biodynamic Food-Grow it! 

 

Biodynamic Food-You Can Grow it! Beyond Organic! 

A workshop will be held at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, 3355 S. Purdue,
OKC on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 1 p.m. till 9 p.m. Biodynamic grower,
Nancy Jewel Poer, a founder of Rudolf Steiner College, Sacramento,
California, which promotes and teaches biodynamic agricultural methods, will
present a workshop from 1 till 5 p.m. The workshop will give an overview of
Biodynamic Agriculture, hands on experience creating a biodynamic compost
pile and a Q & A session with discussion and handouts. At 5 p.m. there will
be a catered dinner followed by entertainment and a Biodynamic DVD.
