In addition Oklahoma is making efforts to help. Governor Henry has declared October, 2009 to be "OU International Water Awareness Month." You can see the proclamation at http://water.ou.edu.  And several organizations in the Oklahoma City area are working to help with international water issues including the Water4 Foundation at water4.org,  SafeWater4Kids  at safewater4kids.org and Water Is Life at waterislife.com.
