Sustainability on Film Week - OKC Museum of Art and Co-presenters Sierra
Club, Slow Food OKC and Sustainable OKC - Sept 16-20

We are thrilled to be a part of OKCMOA's upcoming Sustainablility on Film
Week.

Mark your calendars for great films Wed Sept 16 - Sunday Sept 20th and a
panel discussion entitled Sustainability in Oklahoma: Where do we go from
here? on Sunday, Sept 20th following the final film screening.

As our economic, social and environmental activities become increasingly
integrated on a global scale, the human species faces unprecedented
challenges. In the wake of the groundbreaking documentary An Inconvenient
Truth, filmmakers have been examining the complex issues facing our species
and planet: climate change, dwindling natural resources, population growth,
economic crises, and political conflict. Along the way humans are finding
innovative, simple solutions from growing their own food, to green building,
to developing new forms of renewable energy. These films explore how we meet
our needs in the present without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet theirs.

The incredible line-up of films is: Fresh and short film by local filmmaker
Food For Thought (featuring the Slow Food Picnic last year) (Wed Sept 16,
7:30pm); The Great Squeeze: Surviving the Human Project (Thurs 7:30);
Greening of Southie (Friday 5:30pm); Food, Inc (Friday 8pm); The Garden (Sat
5:30pm); No Impact Man (Sat 8pm); Earth Days (Sun 2pm followed by panel
discussion) - Wow! For more information about each film and links to the
films' websites follow this link
