Subject: [ok-sus] Toxic Tour: April 17, 2010 from OKC and Tulsa
I'd like to extend my personal invitation to you to attend the field tip to
Bokoshe on Saturday April 17. Just yesterday, the Making Money Having Fun
fly ash dump received some much-deserved attention in the Poteau Daily News
and on Fort Smith TV. Here's a link to the KHBS clip:
http://www.4029tv.com/news/23006759/detail.html Here's a link to the Poteau
newspaper. http://www.poteaudailynews.com/content/view/187446/60/
Making Money Having Fun is using fly ash from AES Shady Point, a coal
burning power plant, to make a pyramid of fly ash just south of Bokoshe.
State agencies have refused to enforce the law at this site and have made it
a poster child for the effort to regulate fly ash as a hazardous waste.
Attached is a more information. Below is the itinerary. Please contact
RoseMary ASAP at 405 206 - 3979 to reserve your spot.
