Saturday, April 24, in honor of earth day, we will celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the original gathering to create a new level of awareness within our food through cooperation with the elemental forces of the earth. You are invited to join us for a seed planting ceremony that will begin at 2:00 P.M. Following that, we will unearth the cow horns, Biodynamic preparation 500, that we buried last fall at the end of the Biodynamic conference. A potluck meal will follow at 6:00. The next day, Sunday, April 25, Dianna Henry, a seed-saver with many years of experience and founder of the "Kaw Valley Seed Project" will show us how to go about saving our own seed. That meeting will start at 3:00 P.M. with a potluck meal following. Both meetings will be at our home in Cashion. Please email or call Joseph or Helen for more details: 433-9000.
The following weekend, Saturday, May 1, there will be a Biodynamic compost construction and demonstration at Sue & Tom Tarr's place, 4900 E. Memorial Road, starting at 3:00 P.M., along with a festive, May Day celebration and potluck meal. Please call Sue for more details: 478-2480.
