Issue No. 5 August 2010
Transition Times
Harvest salads all winter!

Have you ever wished you could pop out to the garden for fresh spinach, lettuce
and carrots - in January?  With a few simple techniques, you can!

Come to this group-led workshop as you and your fellow gardeners share tips and
ideas for fall and winter gardening. We'll also build a simple but effective
miniature bamboo "hoop house" over a raised garden bed to protect our vegetables
through the winter.

 What:  Fall gardening workshop
When: Saturday August 28th, 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Where: NW OKC near Penn Square Mall (RSVP for address)
Cost: $5 donation to Sustainable OKC, a 501(c)3 non-profit

Register at www.goinglocalokc.org - space is limited, so reserve your spot
soon.  Workshop will be held rain or shine. Upcoming Events
