  Transition Town OKC
  Training for Transition
Saturday and Sunday, April 10 and 11

The Transition model is spreading around the world providing a framework for
town, cities, and communities to make energy transition plans. To help
Oklahoma communities organize their own energy transition plans, Transition
Town OKC will host a Training for Transition Weekend (T4T) Workshop
Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11.

   Green Restaurants Initiative*

  Sustainable OKC will be partnering with the Oklahoma Star
Program<http://www.deq.state.ok.us/CSDnew/OSIP/>and the ECO
certification program <http://eco.oklatourism.gov/> to promote green
business practices in Oklahoma City-area restaurants. Efforts will include
local food, sourcing supplies, and energy efficiency. A workshop is planned
for May or June and will include local food gurus, green restaurateurs, and
pollution prevention experts. Watch sustainableokc.org for more information.

SOKC is a grassroots organization working at the crossroads of business,
environment, and social justice in Oklahoma City. SOKC is a local chapter of
the statewide group, Oklahoma Sustainability Network, and promotes community
sustainability by facilitating grassroots action, fostering awareness of
sustainability, and serving as an informational and networking resource in
the Oklahoma City area.
