[OKC] FW: State Capitol Complex recycling program

The state Capitol Complex capital is launching a recycling program. Very
cool!

DCS Facilities Services is ready to implement recycling. The containers for
aluminum and plastic will be delivered to the break rooms and near the
vending machines today. Please rinse out your food dishes before putting
them in the recycling containers as they will be collected weekly. Cardboard
can be recycled by leaving boxes in the freight elevator lobbies. Goodwill
will assist by taking the boxes to the dock area for collection. Open the
attachment for more details about what products can be recycled.

In an effort to Re-Invent Our Print, DCS is implementing a new recycling
program in the Capitol Complex.


				
	Text Box: This week, recycle bins will be placed in all break rooms
for aluminum and plastic recycling. The attached flyer details the types of
materials that can be placed in each type of bin. 	 	Text Box:
Large bins will also be placed on the dock for cardboard recycling. Please
place cardboard by the freight elevators and the Goodwill staff will take it

If you wish to bring recyclable items from home, you may place them in the
bins in your area, or for larger quantities, items may be placed directly on
the dock. 

 

Recycling at work is now easier than ever! Please support this important
initiative and place waste items in the proper place. 

 

According to the Environmental

(EPA), some benefits of recycling are:

.         Recycling 

1.       .saves energy

2.       .decreases emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to global
climate change 

3.       .conserves natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals

4.       .helps sustain the environment for future generations

5.       .protects and expands U.S. manufacturing jobs and increases U.S.
competitiveness

6.       .reduces the need for land-filling and incineration

7.       .prevents pollution caused by the manufacturing of products from
virgin materials
