Dear Friends,

The end of the summer season is here.  We've had a fantastic first year at
the new farm and we are grateful to you for helping make it great!  There's
one more week of Cherry Street Farmers Market this Saturday, Oct. 2.  The
last Chowdown Day is Sunday, Oct. 3.  And the last Farm Table Dinner (which
is sold out!) is Oct. 9.  We are looking forward to some new things coming
up and wanted to let you know how you can stay connected with the Living
Kitchen through the fall and winter months.

For starters, we encourage you to take Lisa's 30-Day Challenge, starting
October 1.  Read more about it below.  Then, come to the October 3 Chowdown
Day and enjoy the farm.  Also, keep us in mind for your private parties this
holiday season.  We'd love to host your group of 8-20 at the farm!

words or less) about your experience.  From the essays submitted, Lisa will
select a winner who will get dinner for 4 at our "Like Water for Chocolate"
Farm Table Dinner on Saturday, Feb 12.

Autumn Harvest Chowdown, October 3

Description: chowdown tableYou have one more opportunity this fall to come
out to the farm for great food and fun.  Our Autumn Harvest Chowdown Day is
scheduled for Sunday, October 3, noon to 4:00 p.m., featuring a buffet lunch
with foods from the farm and lots of time to explore the land and meet the
animals! Cost for the Chowdown is $20 for adults and $8 for kids ages 4 to
12.  Reservations are required, but you'll pay when you get there.

Private Parties at the Living Kitchen

We are scheduling private parties at the Farm now through the end of the
year.  If you have a group of 8 to 20 people, we can accommodate you in the
log cabin, serving a five-course meal using foods grown at the Living
Kitchen or from a farm nearby.  The cost is $50 per person, payable at the
time of your party.

Get your supper club, a group of close friends and family, your office,
whoever! together and check with us for an available date.  We'd love to
host you at the farm.
