Dear Friend of KOB,

*Registration for the 2012 Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma is now open.
*

Cleanup your corner of the state this spring!! Host a litter collection
event, perk up a park with plants and trees or hold a recycling drive (just
to name a few possibilities). The Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma (GAC)
will be held from March 1 - May 31. All groups who register will be
eligible for FREE trash bags, banners, water for volunteers, prizes and
participant-only awards and grants.

Last spring 47,000 volunteers and participants came together to collect
approximately 6 million pounds of litter/debris in more than 400
communities throughout *EVERY COUNTY IN OKLAHOMA! *Thank you to all who
participated and made this happen.

2012 is already shaping up to be a bigger year!

Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is pleased to announce that *Devon Energy
Corporation* is now the Statewide Sponsor of the Great American Cleanup™ in
Oklahoma. Aside from the many opportunities that KOB now has to increase
the number of new start-up GAC participating organizations, registered
participants will now be able to compete for cash prizes based on the
excellence of their GAC effort(s) as part of the Devon GAC Achievement
Awards. More about this exciting opportunity will be released in the coming
months. Stay tuned!

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Annual Trash-OFF will again be
the signature event in the 2012 Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma. If you
wish to partake in the largest, single day cleanup event in Oklahoma,
simply indicate that you are going to participate in it when you register
your events. The date for the Trash-OFF is Saturday, April 21.

We have made several improvements to the registration process for the 2012;
changes made to help the hundereds of participating organizations to have a
much higher success rate by attracting more volunteers to their events and
ensuring that an adequate volume of supplies and in-kind donations are made
available.
