Permablitz workshop
Plant a fruit tree Learn permaculture principles while planting a beautiful and
productive edible landscape! Permaculture is a design system that uses
ecological principles to minimize work and waste while increasing productivity.
Participants in this hands-on workshop will help design and implement a
permaculture plan to transform a typical bermuda backyard into a haven with
raised bed gardens, a food forest, and other features. The workshop will be
facilitated by Randy Marks, who is certified in Permaculture Design and has a
Masters degree in sustainable land use and planning.

Cost: Free, but please register as space is limitedHosted by: Transition
OKC, the Hope Crossing SITES Project, and funded by a grant from the Office of
Sustainability of the City of OKC

You don't have to wait for spring - you can get food fresh from your local
growers now!
There are several options for finding local food in the winter:
1. The OSU-OKC Farmer's Market is open year round. In winter, it is open on
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 400 N. Portland Ave.
2. Oklahoma Food Co-op members can order from the Co-op online every month.
3. The Urban Agrarian Local Food @ Market C offers a selection of locally raised
meat, eggs, freshly picked produce, and baked goods at 401 NW 23rd every Sunday
from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
