OKC Beautiful Needs Volunteers
Volunteers needed to pick up branches for Dead Pine Tree Removal Event

OKC Beautiful needs volunteers for its dead pine tree removal day. Several dead pines will be removed<http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs079/1103404816606/img/18.jpg> 


The dead pine tree removal day is Jan. 22 and was organized by OKC Beautiful and Southern Tree Preservation. Southern Tree Preservation and several other tree companies are donating their services to remove approximately 70 trees located throughout the city. The companies will begin removing trees at 8 a.m. and will continue till 5 p.m. They will cut the trees and grind the stumps, but they need volunteers to pick up branches and pull them to the curb. The City will then pick them up and burn them.

Several of the city's nonprofits, neighborhood associations, low-to-moderate income private homes and residents in need will have help removing dead pines through the event.
