I have written here before about the Mondragon Cooperative experience in Spain, and my latest cooperative entrepreneurial project, the Oklahoma Worker Cooperative Network, http://www.okie.coop. One of my strategies for peak oil adaptation is to encourage more formation of worker owned coops, and coops in general, as we likely can’t afford to support the corporate management aristocracy going forward (this would be the CEOs making 500 times the ordinary worker’s salary, etc). So we need a better form of business organization to meet the challenges of peak energy.

A group of MIT people is presently touring the Mondragon Cooperatives of Spain, and are blogging about their experience at http://colabradio.mit.edu/ . Read and think about how this could be adapted for use in our own situation here in OKC.
