 Your Environmental Road Trip

What can you do over the course of a year?  Watch 1825 hours of TV...or take an
environmental road trip across America in search of the extraordinary innovators
tackling humanity's greatest crises.

Intrigued? Mark Dixon, documentary filmmaker of YERT: Your Environmental Road
Trip, will be on hand at Elemental Coffee to discuss the making of the film
(co-created with Ben Evans), which won the Audience Award at the Yale
Environmental Film Festival and is now showing at Oklahoma City's deadCENTER
film festival.

What:     Meet & Greet with Mark Dixon
Where:   Elemental Coffee, 815 N. Hudson
When:    Friday, June 10th 4 - 6 p.m.

The Meet & Greet is free and sponsored by Transition OKC, a program of
Sustainable OKC. Coffee and snacks will be available to purchase from Elemental
Coffee.

**The first ten people at the Meet & Greet will win a free YERT Chico bag!  Two
lucky people will also win the Better World Shopping Guide, by Ellis Jones, from
a drawing.
   YERT @ deadCENTER

50 states. 1 year. Zero garbage? Called to action by a planet in peril, three
friends hit the road to explore every state in America and find citizens
experimenting, educating and creating environmental change (the good, the
bad...and the weird).

As the YERT team of Mark Dixon, Ben Evans, and Julie Dingman Evans layers
outlandish eco-challenges onto their quest, an unexpected turn of events pushes
them to the brink in this award-winning docu-comedy. Featuring Bill McKibben,
Will Allen, Joel Salatin, David Orr, and others.  Winner of the Audience Award
at the Environmental Film Festival at Yale, deadCENTER is the second festival
to screen the film.

YERT screenings at deadCENTER are $10 or free with an all-access pass.  Mark
Dixon will be on hand at both screenings for questions and, hopefully, answers.
