Today is the deadline to apply for a half-tuition scholarship to Oklahoma's
first full-scale Permaculture Design Course.
We're pleased to announce the course is available, along with reduced
tuition rates and scholarships via the generosity of the City of OKC Office
of Sustainability and Sustainable OKC. If you cannot attend, please consider
forwarding this info to others who might be interested in your networks of
work colleagues, friends and family. Thank you.
"Though the problems of the world are increasingly more complex, the
solutions remain embarrassingly simple ..." -- Bill Mollison, co-founder of
the world-wide Permaculture movement
Permaculture is an ecological design system for sustainability in all
aspects of our lives. Permaculture teaches us how to build natural homes,
grow our own food, restore diminished landscapes and ecosystems, catch
rainwater, design and build communities, take care of waste and much, much
more.
Instead of paying $1,000 or more for an out-of-state course with hefty
travel, food and lodging expenses, enroll in Oklahoma's first full, 72-hour,
certificate level, Permaculture Design Course, taught by nationally renowned
Permaculture instructor Scott Pittman, Permaculture Institute, Santa Fe,
N.M., and his team, including Oklahoma Permaculture practitioner, Bob
Waldrop for only $750. We are able to offer this reduced rate thanks to a
grant from the City of Oklahoma City Office of Sustainability.
Who should consider attending
Design-oriented land-based professionals, including landscape design and
landscape architecture; urban, community and regional planners; architects;
home builders; those in the fields of developing municipal, regional and
state policies; farmers; ranchers; urban and rural gardener; sustainability
volunteers, advocates and leaders; green businesses; holistic medicine
practitioners; human rights advocates; legal and financial professionals.
Permaculture draws people of all ages and walks of life - and offers
solutions and inspiration in professional and personal lives alike.
