Position Announcement:  Sustainable Agriculture Program Assistant

 

Kerr Center for Sustainable Agriculture

Position Description:  

*	The Program Assistant will have responsibilities within both the
sustainable livestock and organic horticulture programs at the Kerr
Center, helping to develop the sustainable agriculture program.  He or
she will have major responsibilities for a pastured poultry project.
*	Additional livestock activities will include assisting with
pasture-based cattle, hog and goat operations and a grass-based meat
goat and ram trial done in cooperation with Oklahoma State University.
These activities include on-farm research, demonstration and educational
events. 

*	He or she will also be required, on occasion, to participate in
the wider Kerr Center Program as it evolves, and assist where needed.

Minimum requirements:   Bachelors' degree in an applicable agricultural
field, U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license.  Position also
requires physical exertion and working outdoors about 75% of the time
lass=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:6.0pt'>Term of Employment:   This
position is available beginning May 1, 2011. 

Compensation:  $26,000.00 annual salary plus benefits.
