[OKC] View the Friends of Lake Overholser/Stinchcomb's 2011 Clean-up Picasa Web Album

For those who were unable to make it to the Lake Overholser/Stinchcomb
Wildlife Refuge Clean-Up, you missed a fun day!  The rain stopped about
45 minutes before the clean-up was scheduled to begin.  It was cool all
day with no more rain.  There were 94 volunteers with 60 being first
timers!  We recycled about 150 pounds of plastic, 280 pounds of glass,
98 pounds of aluminum, 24 tires, and 80 pounds of scrap metal.
 
Most of the volunteers found out about the clean-up through others such
as friends or co-workers.  So help spread the word for next year's
clean-up.  The 7th Annual Lake Overholser/Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge
Clean-Up is tentatively scheduled for April 21st, 2012.

what happened to the recyclables after the clean-up.  Waste Management
didn't deliver a dumpster as in previous years so we took the
recyclables to them.  See what a mountain of OKC plastic recyclables
