We are looking for an Executive Director, needed for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization headquartered in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, whose
mission is to increase awareness of the design and construction of
sustainable built environments and to make green buildings available to
everyone within a generation throughout the state and region.****

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the
items listed below.****

Those labeled as "Primary Duty" will be the minimum responsibilities for
part-time work and high priority for the full-time position.****

1. Fundraising and Sponsorship - Primary Duty****

a. Seek and establish short and long-term chapter and event sponsorship****

b. Maintain database and follow up of sponsorship****

c. Initiate sponsorship strategies and marketing in concert with board
and committees****

d. Promote and devise strategies to increase individual donations****

e. Facilitate sponsor partnership agreements****

f. Sponsor and donor relationship management****

2. Chapter and Regional Meetings - Primary Duty:****

a. Coordination of and regular attendance of monthly Board and
Executive committee meetings. (4 hours monthly)****

b. Participation in monthly 1 hour USGBC National and/or Regional
Conference Calls: Author report to board****

c. Management of Board Election Process. Occurs during quarterly
board meetings.****

3. Business Organization - Primary Duty****

a. Maintain and refine organization procedures and practices****

b. Ensure training and education of incoming board and committee membership.
****

4. Membership****

a. Assistance in implementation of strategies and initiatives to
continually increase chapter membership and maintain board membership****

b. Database Administration: Dues notices and maintenance of individual
and corporate membership.****

5. Community Outreach - Education: Assist and facilitate outreach programs
for education and promotion of sustainability and performance green building
****

6. Attendance at Conferences - Events: Attendance of annual 2-3 day
national conference, 1-2 day regional conference and related events****

7. Customer Interaction: Act as the first point of contact for general
communication with the public, organizations and municipalities.****

8. Communication - Marketing: Editing and production of websites. Creation
and/or maintenance and broadcast of newsletters, news releases, emails,
blogs, and social media marketing****

9. Monthly Report: Author an outline of activities and time dedicated to
specific tasks for review by the board****

10.Assist the chapter Treasurer in performing the following:****

a. Maintaining financial records****

b. Maintaining 501(c)3 non-profit status****

c. Filing necessary annual tax information****
