I'm fixin to throw a shoe (rural reference to when a horse that gets
spooked and kicks so hard he throws a shoe off of his hoof).

For the first time, the top export of the United States, the world's biggest
gas guzzler, is - wait for it - fuel. ..Fuel exports, worth an estimated $88
billion in 2011 . The last time the U.S. was a net exporter of fuels was
1949, when Harry Truman was president. Fuel becomes America's biggest
export

The US spends a lot blood from US soldiers and treasure from US taxpayers so
that multinational oil companies can get cheap oil from middle eastern
dictators who steal it from their people. I know this oil is being stolen
for us, which is bad enough. As it turns out, the multinational oil
companies keep it for themselves and sell it to the highest bidder.

It has reached the point that the US is now a net exporter of fuel. Some
will say that is how the free market works, but there is nothing free about
this market.

If we had a free market the US would let Iran blow oil tankers out of the
Strait of Hormuz. If oil companies thought is was a good idea they could
hire their own military to get the oil out of the middle east. Of course,
the cost would be too high. We would use domestic fuel, be more
conservative, develop better wind and solar, pollute less and live better
because we spend less blood and treasure stealing oil from people in the
middle east.

I hope we're fixin to do something different because this won't last forever
and then we'll all be throwin a shoe.
