Oklahoma City offers workshop on energy efficiency for homes and businesses

Home and business owners can discover how to make their buildings more energy efficient by attending a free presentation, "Renovating for Energy Efficiency" from 7 - 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 22.

The presentation takes place at the Oklahoma City Fire Department's Training Facility, 850 N. Portland.

Presenter Gary Shlifer with C.H. Guernsey & Company is a consultant and educator in sustainable design practices and the LEED certification process. Shlifer will introduce attendees to the U.S. Green Building Council's ReGreen Program and provide information to help participants create healthier and more energy efficient homes and businesses.

The workshop is part of the Energy and Resource Conservation series sponsored by Oklahoma City's Office of Sustainability with funding from an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant from the US Department of Energy.
