we should support in light of peak oil, and at the time I was mostly focusing on
individual responses and didn't have much to say about that. However,
since then I have thought about that a bit and have the following policy
suggestions:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Support more than adequate funding for mass
transit.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Generally, we should oppose funding for new highway
construction.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Support more funding for low income
insulation/weatherization programs.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Oppose subsidies for big agriculture (via some kind of a
mechanism like a limit on the total payments that can be received by a farm
operation, or on the total number of acres that a subsidy can be paid
on).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Support funding of alternative energy research and
implementation.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>+ Oppose wars for resources.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4>Those are my early thoughts on this.</FONT></DIV>

event at the Gold Dome and we filled the room with those interested in
learning more about the impending oil crisis and possible positive and
