

<BODY><P>I've recently been reading a book by Herman E. Daly called <U>Beyond Growth.</U>  It discusses sustainable economics and looks at a variety of issues including immigration, use of natural resources and some pros and cons of world trade.  Obviously it is written from the point of view of the author, but it offers a lot of additional references and I would like to recommend it as an interesting read.  </P>
