article of the new May 13 Oklahoma Gazette is about the prospect of building a
downtown OKC electric streetcar system on tracks. This is a leading
option under the Alternatives Analysis (AA) study METRO Transit has been
starting up in recent months and COTPA (METRO Transit) says the AA process
welcomes public input like this. Some cities have built or are planning to
build theirs without your federal tax dollars. The Gazette article features
Jeff Bezdek, an APT Boardmember, and Jeff explains the idea and the aims of the
Modern Transit Project (MTP) of which he is also an organizer and spokesman.
The article is very interesting and mentions the April 21 APT meetings.
The APT Board has discussed the MTP and sees much common ground between the two
and has applauded Jeff’s initiative. A great article! </span><o:p></o:p></p>
