Red Cross to hear the report of MAPS3 comments gathered at past APT “Listening”
sessions. The media coverage was excellent and led to a June 20 editorial
in the Daily Oklahoman that questioned today’s level of voter support for a
dedicated tax for transit operations. APT has long urged dedicated
funding (a new modest tax), some call it perpetual transit funding, and APT is
well aware of the surveys that show growing citizen support for transit.
The Oklahoman was not critical of the APT, and it is also great to know that an
APT stance is worthy enough to have rated editorial attention!

minute funding increase that enables METRO Transit to make two bus routes more
frequent (Routes 8 and 40). Individuals with the APT asked for Council
support and apparently helped put the measure over the top! More importantly,
the Council is to be saluted!!!
