    <font>I have always believed that cooperatives of workers and
      customers could make a critical difference during the upcoming
      "Great Contraction".  By owning their businesses, workers can not
      only protect their jobs from being "out-sourced", but also share
      in the profits.<br>

      The Mondragon cooperatives of Spain are the 8th largest business
      group in that nation with tens of thousands of worker-owners.
