<DIV>I went to the workshop last week on rainwater harvesting. It was very
interesting and I learned a lot, especially about the alternatives for storage
structures. I wasn’t aware of the extensive water harvesting system installed on
the new ag building by the OKC Farmers Market pavilion. and this Sam
Minnick guy qualifies, imho, as a very interesting resource who deserves to be
more known among the local sustainability community. He’s into making
large quantities of compost, and is doing some innovative things like e.g.
saving the fair grounds people money ($500k/YEAR to haul away their horse poop)
by grabbing their manure for compost and looking into other large quantity
sources for materials to make compost. He had a lot of interesting things to say
about green roofs. </DIV>
