Kaw Permaculture and the Kansas Permaculture Institute, a project of the Sustainability Action Network, Inc. are announcing their first Kansas City Area <b>Permaculture Design Certification Course Intensive</b>.<span>  </span>This nine day course will bring together the talents of three accomplished teachers who have years of experience with the ecology of the Central Great Plains Region.<span>  </span><u></u><u></u></span>

<p style="TEXT-INDENT:0in;MARGIN-LEFT:0in" class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY:'Arial','sans-serif';FONT-SIZE:12pt"><u></u><u></u>The event will begin <b>May 29 through June 6, 2012</b> at the rustic </span><a href="http://www.chihowa.org/" target="_blank"><span style="FONT-FAMILY:'Arial','sans-serif';FONT-SIZE:12pt">Chihowa Retreat Center</span></a><span style="FONT-FAMILY:'Arial','sans-serif';FONT-SIZE:12pt"> near Lawrence, Kansas. <span> </span>Participants will have the opportunity to learn how permaculture design principles are applied to both urban and broad acre sites.<span>  </span>They will also witness in action a variety of sustainable methods of perennial food production, ecological landscape design, and energy efficient structures.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
