Subject: [passrailok] SJR35 On The Move Again

Thursday of last week life was pumped back into SJR35 in the Rules
Committee. This is GREAT news. The bill recognizes KDOT, ODOT, TxDOT and
Amtrak for their work on the Kansas Amtrak study. It also encourages ODOT
to upgrade their Rail Plan. This is a requirement to be considered for
Passenger Rail Improvement and Investment Act 80-20 federal/state funding.
The bill was authored by State Senator John Sparks and State Representative
Wallace Collins, both of Norman.
