FYI - Good info here  -- on the films at the end of the email -- "Dirt" is
on at 2 a.m. Thurs.  -- so unless you're a total night owl, taping is
probably the better option.

Hello 4-H Green Friends Gardening Team Members,

 

We are thrilled to announce OKC's Sequoyah Elementary School will be 4-H's
first pilot site for 4-H Green Friends Gardening After-School Clubs.

We were also happy to learn Sequoyah's principal is a life long 4-H'R from
Davis, Oklahoma. Montie Koehn, Principal for Sequoyah, was recently selected
State Principal of the Year. Several others on Sequoyah's faculty are life
long 4-H'R's and avid gardeners. 

 

All teams will meet on Thursday May 6th at 10 a.m. at the Oklahoma County
OSU Extension Center at 930 N. Portland, to plan for a presentation for
Sequoyah's Family Night the end of May and plan the next steps toward the
pilot club start up in August 2010. New team members always welcome. Invite
others.

 

We will send an agenda the Monday before the meeting.

 

Happy Earth Week!! OETA-KETA -TV 13 is showing "Food Inc." Wednesday night
on P.O.V. from 8-10p.m..

Thursday from 8-9 p.m. OETA has a special called "Green Schools".  

If you missed OETA's showing of the movie "Dirt" on Independent Lens Tuesday
night you can still catch it Wednesday night on OETA-13-2. from 10 p.m. till
11 p.m.
