Even if you are in Ward 2 (Dr. Ed Shadid's ward), if you support backyard 
chickens please send an e-mail to him to register your support, so he has 
evidence to submit on Ward 2's behalf.

Dear Council Member XX,
 
My family supports the right to raise backyard chickens (not roosters).  
Chickens are clean animals that are quieter than dogs and make less waste than 
cats.  They increase the food security of families, neighborhoods, and our 
city.  Home-raised eggs are also more nutritious than store bought eggs.  With 
most other "Big League" cities allowing chickens, why are we one of the last 
holdouts to keep people from the freedom of raising healthy, cost-effective 
eggs?
