[OKC] A message from Bob's elderberries

Hi! We are Bob’s Extra Elderberries. The code enforcement people have demanded the deforestation of parts of Bob’s property where WE grow. He has been forced to whack us down twice because of the 2 ft height limit for areas within 25 feet of corners and 20 feet of driveways. 

BUT WE WANT TO LIVE! We refuse to kowtow to the OKC code enforcement and the Gatewood neighborhood nazis, but we also don’t want to get Bob in any more trouble than he already is. SO PLEASE COME AND GET SOME OF US, take us home with you, and give us good homes. 

In return, we will give you many harvests of sweet elderberries and healthy elderflowers for wine, jellies, jams, cobblers, pies, syrups, and as herbal remedies for colds and flu. YES, it’s TRUE! We are FREE for the digging.

Hi! We are Bob’s Prairie Roses. We are in the way of code enforcement too and like our friends the elderberries, we want to live but we don’t want to get Bob in trouble, so when you come to get the elderberries, take some of us home too! We have pretty pink flowers and give you healthy and tasty rose hips, we are high in Vitamin C!

And hello from us too! We are the Maximilien Sunflowers! Native Americans used us for centuries for food, they steamed our roots and nibbled on our seeds. BIRDS AND BEES ADORE US and they will ADORE YOU TOO if you come and get some of us and take us home and give us good homes.

We all live at the southeast corner of North McKinley and NW 21st street. Please come and get us! We are FREE!
