Subject: [ok-sus] A Better Way to Go to Work fall tour

In this time of economic uncertainty, Oklahoma workers need a home-grown local solution to global economic problems.

Imagine a way to work that derives its power from the people who work there, where money is a tool, not the boss. This describes a worker-owned cooperative, a business that is owned, controlled, and managed by its employee-owners.

The Oklahoma Worker Cooperative Network is growing an Oklahoma economy of solidarity one worker-owned job at a time.

We invite you to attend one of the nine free informational meetings of our Better Way to Go to Work Fall tour in central Oklahoma, where you can learn how to use solidarity to create good jobs for yourself, your family, your friends, gain job security for your future, and drive economic development for your community.

A complete list of the dates and places is below my sig. Please help us publicize this tour --

+ promote it via your social media connections, there is a Facebook event for this at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=245844415452049 ,

+ run a bulletin announcement at your church and/or a newsletter announcement in your organization’s newsletter, see http://www.okie.coop/announcements.htm for a full page of bulletin announcements that you can adapt as needed for your circumstances.

+ Join the network – http://www.okie.coop/membership.htm (we are organized as a cooperative).

+ print our poster/handbill and post it in places you frequent -- http://www.okie.coop/2011falltourinvite.pdf .

I hope to see many of y’all at one of these meetings!
