[OKC] Monsanto lied

A French Court has ruled that Monsanto lied about the environmental safety
of Round Up.

Monsanto (isn't that French for "my saint") used to be primarily an
agriculture chemical company.   Over the past twenty years Monsanto and its
main rival Du Pont have become agricultural seed companies by acquiring
existing seed companies.  They now have a dominant market position in corn
seed and in the past few years have been moving into wheat seed - a major
crop in Oklahoma. Due to the global nature of the industrial food supply
chain, Monsanto's grip on the seed market gives it a grip on much of the
world food supply. 

 

IMO supporting, buying, growing and building the local food supply is a
smart response.
